Structure of glass edge wiper strips
Glass edge wiper strips are a profile group selected according to the shape of the lip or surface that contacts the glass edge. In the catalog drawings, the profile base, contact lip, overall width and height differ by product code. Similar-looking sections may not represent the same mounting area.
Use around the glass
The Güçlas catalog describes glass weatherstrips for mounting and for finishing the joint around the glass, and lists their uses in reducing the passage of water, dust, heat and sound. The wiper section's contact with the glass and the surface it is attached to should be assessed together.
How to select a glass wiper strip
Check the glass thickness, the mounting slot or base surface, the direction of the contact lip and the outer dimensions of the profile. If you have an existing strip, match its cross-section with the catalog drawing. For frame-mounted options, see Frame-Glass Wiper Seals; for in-channel sections, see Glass Run Channel Seals. You can get in touch with your codes and dimensions and browse all groups in the catalog.
